Beautiful ormolu chandelier in patinated bronze, Rococo style, with fifteen lights and Baccarat crystal, attributed to the artist François Linke. Decorated with acanthus leaves, it is topped by a gilded bronze dome. Centered by a stele-shaped stem from which a bouquet emerges. Beautiful Baccarat crystals in half-pear shapes, faceted almonds, pearls and knives. Very fine work executed in Paris in the 19th century. F. Linke (1855 -1946) , after a long apprenticeship in Prague , Vienna and Budapest, moved to Paris where he opened his own workshop Faubourg Saint Antoine in 1881. Taking up the styles of the eighteenth century Regency and Roccoco , he adapts to the style day by adding a very Art Nouveau fluidity. The gold medal received at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900 inaugurated a regular presence in the house Linke in major international exhibitions of this new century . His store Place Vendome will know growing success until the Second World War.
