Michel Zadounaisky is a sculptor-ironworker native from Lyon who knew how to renew the art of ironwork in the 30s. Trained at the fine arts of Lyon, he made a free and powerful, uncompromising work. It was in Lyon, the city where he had lived since the age of thirteen, that Michel's work Zadunaisky earned recognition, ironwork and locksmith decorators having been entrusted to him. Among the various works of which he is the author and who have enriched the artistic heritage of the city include the entrance gate of the treasury room of the Primatiale St Jean, the grids of the Museum of Printing, the door of the Guignol theater! sublime works characteristic of his genius in break with the artistic rules of the time. A recognition that brought him to the national level, with the entry of the "Rhinoceros" (sculpture made in 1946) at the Pompidou Center in Paris.
