Creation Régis Mathieu. Following in the steps of traditional Genoese chandelier makers of the 17th century, Régis Mathieu makes use of the art of sewing pearls (in this case all crystal), that come together to create a a moon lit by the sun, which it appears to hide. This artisanal heritage is carefully preserved and cherished by Mathieu Lustrerie, perpetuating a precious and delicate connection with the sense of tradition. Eclipse is the ambassador of haute couture within the Mathieu Collection. Eclipse is also an eloquent testimony to Régis Mathieu’s deep interest in this centuries-old tradition. The chandelier highlights haute couture savoir-faire, which has paved the way for a series of fruitful collaborations between Mathieu Lustrerie, Dior and Yves Saint Laurent.
