Edouard Lievre (1828-1886) is a famous draughtsman and engraver to whom we owe this wall lamp with three lights finely adorned with a dragon, a recurring curative element in his work. His work as a creator of furniture and objets d'art is mainly based on two stylistic axes: Japonism and neo-renaissance. Through his travels in China and Japan, from which he brought back stylistic elements that would nourish his work, he contributed to the diffusion of the taste for the Far East that the 19th century would name Japonism. The modernity of the lines, the quality of the materials, the perfection of the design make Lièvre's creations emblematic pieces.

18th Century Crystal

Before Lead crystal was discovered, the glass was mixed with Manganese, Tungstene or other materials. These materials used to give a smoky, violet or yellow tint to the glass. Our 18th Century Crystal recreates this effect, making it perfect for pieces that need to look antique or fit in a collection.
