The Mathieu Lustrerie company, in the 1970s, quickly felt cramped in the strictly traditional production of lighting. They feel the need to bring the know-how of her teams on an aesthetic adventure in the style of their time. It’s the design boom in which Italian, Scandinavian and American designers are making their mark. A common inspiration then blows through the world of objects: forms from the industrial world and the fascination for new materials - plastic and aluminum - are of good quality and only ask to be applied to the decorative arts. . This very large kinetic chandelier was already treated as a sculpture. The company pays homage, through the centuries, to chandeliers as a work of art and will never stop writing the pages of French decorative arts.
