With many candles suspended to declare its love, echoing a perfect decloration : LOVE comes in soft, warm light, like an invitation to a dream. Its reflection in metal carefully patined to a mirror finish gives an infinite dimension that one dare not utter ... This sculpture of 120 lights, with the colors of fire, is an nod to Robert Indiana’s Art, and indicative of a universally shared love ...
The candles in this compsition were originally developed as part of the restoration of chandeliers in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. A Mathieu Lustrerie patent: these incandescent bulbs are also available in LED meeting lighting requirements and providing the color of a lighted flame.
Autant de bougies suspendues pour déclarer sa flamme, écho d’une annonciation que l’on voudrait parfaite : LOVE se décline en lumière douce et chaude, comme une invitation à la rêverie. Son reflet dans un miroir métallique savamment patiné donne une dimension infinie à ce qu’elle n’oserait prononcer... Cette sculpture de 120 lumières, aux couleurs de feu, est un écho à la volonté de Robert Indiana de propager l’Art comme révélateur d’un amour universellement partagé... Les bougies qui la composent ont été initialement développées dans le cadre de la restauration des lustres de la Galerie des Glaces, au château de Versailles. Brevet de Mathieu Lustrerie, ces ampoules incandescentes se déclinent également en Led aujourd’hui, répondant aux contraintes d’éclairage des Monuments Historiques, tout en offrant la couleur de lumière d’une vraie flamme.
