This chandelier depicting two dragonflies on an iron crown with blue Murano glass cabochons is iconic of the wrought iron work of the Maestro, following the example of accommodated like the Ferrario casa in Milan, which he decorated all the balconies of its favorite insects. Joining from then, on a major representation of the Milanese art nouveau or “Liberty Stile”. A similar chandelier was realised by the artist for the entry porch of the Palace Castiglioni in Milan. Alessandro Mazzucotelli was one of Italy's most renowned wrought-iron craftsmen of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Nicknamed the "iron magician", his exceptional creativity gave iron a "supple" and "flowery" appearance, a character that dominated Art Nouveau.
