Created by Régis Mathieu, this work of art plays with the infinite reflections of mirrors. At once imposing and light, the contrast of this work is both provocative and unsettling. Table and chandelier are perfectly superimposed to create a mise en abîme of rows of lit candles, which are reflected without restraint on this mirror-tray. Alone, it can be used as an abyss, vertically in a stairwell, or simply as a chandelier. As a duo, it becomes a sculptural "abyss", imposing itself in a pared-down setting and unsettling the viewer.

Création de Régis Mathieu, cette œuvre d’art s’amuse avec les reflets infinis que procurent les jeux de miroirs. A la fois imposant et léger le contraste de cette œuvre est un brin provocateur et troublants. Table et lustre se superposent parfaitement pour mettre en abîme des rangées de bougies allumées, qui se reflètent sans retenue sur ce plateau-miroir. Seule, elle se décline en abîme, à la verticale dans une cage d’escalier, ou tout simplement en lustre. En duo, elle devient l’« abysse » sculpturale pour s’imposer dans un décor épuré et troubler le spectateur.

18th Century Crystal

Before Lead crystal was discovered, the glass was mixed with Manganese, Tungstene or other materials. These materials used to give a smoky, violet or yellow tint to the glass. Our 18th Century Crystal recreates this effect, making it perfect for pieces that need to look antique or fit in a collection.
