A singular chandelier with a rustic décor was probably carved in the 1840s, at a time when the “Troubadour” style spread in Brittany. The gargoyles represent the four apostles John as an eagle, Luke as a bull, Matthew as an angle and Mark as a lion. THis kinfd of wooden sculptures where seen in Churches of Brittany on the ceiling beams. This chandelier comes from the Chapel of a castle near "Le Mans" in France.
